Ajman Bank is a very popular Islamic financial firm established in 2009. It is one of the premium banks with its shares listed in the Dubai Financial Market. The bank has headquarters in Ajman, and ATM branches in UAE as well as branches across the middle east. Though Ajman Bank has been doing quite well all these years, they wanted to improve their user engagement. They felt that by increasing the user activities for cardholders they will be able to gain customer loyalty and interest. Therefore, they came up with an idea to build a reward planning application that could help users to enjoy card-owning benefits and motivate them to retain the membership.

Challenges faced during the development of Power Traveller
Aggregating offers from multiple platforms
Assembling and reflecting the offers from various merchants onto one platform was a big challenge. The reason being, it was quite complex to aggregate feeds & APIs from different providers and keep track of data from multiple vendors.
Collecting the data at every transaction to count points
Tracking every transaction in real-time and updating points within the application in order to make the application function seamlessly.
End to End Security & upto 99% uptime for app
Ajman has a huge customer base of half a million users which is why it was a challenge for them to maintain 0% downtime of the app for a smooth user experience.

The Power traveler app by Ajman Bank is a mobile application built specifically for Power credit cardholders to avail multiple benefits that come along with card ownership. Members can enjoy over 500 offers on Dining, Entertainment, Wellness, and Lifestyle. By using this card, people earn points that can be later redeemed against the offers available on the application. OpenXcell created this application from scratch and integrated it with an aggregator that could store all the offers from various sites in one place for the customers to use. It also allows point redemption from the merchant’s end and helps customers to get it in their account. The solution is also integrated with real-time tracking of transactions which helps the system to keep the points updated at all times. Moreover, the application was made quite robust to ensure the application runs seamlessly with 99% uptime.
