A journalist working for BBC came up with this idea to let common people send live news from their location so the local news from anywhere can be broadcasted instantly. Hence, a portal was created that offers direct access to its content for media representatives and the press.

LiveTube is an entirely new approach to news and storytelling.This online streaming app allows all smartphone users to show live news directly from their mobile and get paid in return. Every video stream can be broadcasted in real time by professional journalists from a cloud-based newsroom. Through this app the newsroom can monitor the story and can get it live translated into 26 languages. In order to run the videos given by the users smoothly, we integrated Vonage (formerly TokBox OpenTok) which offers flexible and scalable voice, messaging, video and data capabilities through APIs. Our team also provided a custom CMS to handle the flow of broadcast requests, review mechanism and approval criterias. Since the platform offers a certain payment to broadcasters, the payment gateway was integrated to effectively manage the earnings and transactions. Live Tube, overall, is a holistic solution that gives journalists access to all live content from a dedicated media hub and also offers tailored solutions to companies for their communication and marketing activities. Hence, it is a powerful platform that combines the power of storytelling, smart technology and artificial intelligence to change the news market forever.
